Show Your Boutique Some TLC this Winter
Spring is going to make an appearance soon, but until it does, give your boutique a little winter TLC.
Take a look around (and at yourself). Is your business suffering from the winter blues? Are you? We’ve got you covered with ideas on keeping yourself happy at work and ensuring your clients feel the warmth and love you continue to pour into their experiences.
5 Ways to Show Your Boutique Some TLC
A Quick Paint Job.
When was the last time your walls were freshened up? Choosing a clean and bright, creamy white or off-white can freshen up your space and bring in more light. You don’t need the professionals, just a gallon of paint, rollers, and painter’s tape.
Declutter.
Too many things sitting around the boutique area and in the ultrasound rooms can collect dust and present an overwhelming area. Stick to the products that sell (especially seasonally!) but set them up well and in a presentable manner. Make sure everything is clean and as fingerprint-free as possible.
Water.
The winter dries everything out – including people. Make sure that you are offering small bottles of water to your clients (and for your employees). Remind them that hydrating helps keep the skin’s elasticity strong and helps prevent stretch marks. No new mom will say no to that!
Snacks.
Snacks make everyone happier. Snacks make pregnant mothers really happy. Think winter and offer s’mores bags, bakery cookies, popcorn with add-ins. The sky is the limit when it comes to winter comfort foods.
Change It Up
If you always have a gender tally board, switch it up to a social media photo-op backdrop with balloons and a gender reveal cannon surprise! If you’ve never done a name board, add one and let everyone add baby names into a raffle drawing to win a My Baby’s Heartbeat Bear. Think outside of the box – or just on the opposite side for now… to freshen things up!
This season tends to be the most tedious; it’s the longest days, coldest days, and slowest days. It leads us all toward fatigue and burnout. If you can recognize and appreciate all you have done, but also understand that it is human nature to feel tired, you will be able to move through this season and see the flowers blooming (and bellies blossoming) sooner than later!
