Acts of Kindness Your Ultrasound Business Can Perform
It’s cool to be kind.
National Acts of Kindness Day is February 17th, but the entire week afterward is promoted as a week of spreading kindness. This, of course, can be continued throughout the remainder of the month, season, and year, if you would like.
While it is easy to pay for someone’s coffee in your personal time, bringing Acts of Kindness into your practice takes more effort than a last minute (although still very kind) gesture. It is, however, a sign of appreciation and love for what you do to make this effort. Set some time aside today to plan out a few acts of kindness for your business.

Acts of Kindness For Your Employees
Bring breakfast, coffee, tea, or a treat, but know what your employees enjoy. If your receptionist is allergic to eggs, make sure your provide something she will be able to eat and enjoy. The act only comes across as true kindness if it is well thought out and personal.
Skip the group meal at work and help them at home instead. Everyone struggles with the price of groceries and making ends meet week after week. If you have the ability, gift your employees with a grocery gift card in the amount you feel comfortable with -- but ensure it will provide a few full meals for your employees’ families. If groceries aren’t in your budget, consider a gift card for coffee or other treat that can be used at a future time.
A card. Your acts of kindness do not necessarily have to be over the top. Taking the time to write your appreciation can go a long way with your employees. You love your business; you should love the people that help keep it thriving. Tell them with sweet words.
Acts of Kindness For Your Clients
Send out a “Just Because” coupon to be used in your boutique. It can be a discount on a product or keepsake or a free upgrade on ultrasound packages.
Include a My Baby’s Heartbeat Bear with each ultrasound package purchased this week. Sending your clients home with a tangible keepsake that keeps them feeling connected to their baby will also keep them connected to you and your business. Giving them this gift as an act of kindness will create an even stronger connection, as it is something personal and will be treasured forever.
Set out a bowl of “Kindess Coupons.” Purchase several gift cards for businesses around town and place each one in an unmarked envelope. Allow your clients to pick one as they arrive for their appointments. These cards can be anything from a free car wash or movie tickets to a massage or dinner out! You can get as creative as you’d like with this one!
