The start of summer is around the corner with Memorial Day leading the way. It's known as one of the biggest BBQ weekends of the year, and what comes with a great BBQ? A great drink selection!
Here I am, pregnant AGAIN. This is baby #5 and my 4th summer-time pregnancy. That's quite a few summer cocktails that I have missed in the last 8 years! I won't lie, I'll still take a sip of my husband's drink during the BBQ, but I do stick to my Mama-Mocktails. I don't want to just pour a cup of lemonade and call it a party; I want to feel special too!
We are hosting a get together for about 10-15 adults and 12-15 kids this Memorial Day weekend. It's a combination holiday and end of the season soccer party for my 5 year old. This means there will be plenty of others sharing in my non-alcoholic drink, even if they are under the age of 6. (Side note: the absolute best way to entertain kids at a BBQ is a bounce house. Just splurge on this and set out a donation jar at the party. It'll be worth it.)
But what about the other adults? No worries, I have them covered too. I'm planning to have wine and beer on hand of course, but I will also be including the following cocktails too!
Here are my tried and true favorite mocktail recipes to kick off the summer!
